The New Hanpshire Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has named Kristen Chulada, RDN, LD, CSSD as the Recognized Young Dietitian of 2021. Chulada received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of New Hampshire. Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), she is the Campus Dietitian at Southern New Hampshire University/ Sodexo (SNHU). In addition to her certification in Sports Dietetics, Kristen is also a Certified Master Trainer – AllerTrain and has ServSafe: Food Protection Manager Certification.
Kristen began her professional career at Elliot Hospital as a Clinical Dietitian. Kristen’s interest in sports nutrition, however, has predominated over the years. She has served as Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Bow High School educating the team on pre- and post-training fueling strategies. Kristen has also served as Physical Preparation Coach for Get Fit NH in Concord.
As Campus Dietitian at SNHU, Kristen promotes nutrition and wellness across campus to students, faculty, and staff. In addition, she also manages Penmen Fuel, a student-athlete fueling station, and educates athletes on sports nutrition through team presentations and individual nutrition counseling.
Kristen serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics {NHAND) and has hosted continuing educational activities for NHAND at SNHU.
Kristen’s commitment to her professional and personal goals has led to her award as the NHAND Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year, 2021.
